Breastfeeding Support:

We strongly encourage in-home lactation visits to help you not only with your breastfeeding journey, but also with your emotional journey and new mom questions. Check to see if your insurance covers free in-home visits by completing this form. In-home visits are ideal because they are easy for you and you can be comfortable feeding your baby in your own space. Insurance covers lactation visit with Growing Families Lactation & Doula with almost all BCBS, Anthem, and Cigna plans. Many United Healthcare and Aetna plans are covered also.

If you completed the above form and your insurance does not cover free in-home visits, contact the hospital where your baby was born to schedule a lactation appointment. Call these numbers:

Cone Health (Greensboro): 336-832-4777

Novant Health (Winston): 336-718-5636

Atrium Health / Baptist (Winston): 336-716-6212

We can still do in-home lactation visits even when not covered by insurance for a cash-pay rate. You can use FSA/HSA funds for these visits. To learn more about cash-pay for lactation visits, check out our lactation page.
